Consider Mindset, by Carol Dwecker, PhD. Its about about two states of mind: The Growth Mindset and the Fixed Mindset. The first sees the qualities of people as as things that can be cultivated through personal effort, the second sees the qualities of people as carved in stone, and creates an urgency to prove yourself over and over. The passion for stretching yourself and sticking to it, even when its not going well is the hallmark of the Growth Mindset. The view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life.
